To glorify God by making disciples, proclaiming the truth of His Word, and loving our community in the name of Jesus Christ.

We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

Following Jesus is an ongoing commitment. From declaring our trust in Him and getting baptized to sharing our faith and discipling others, we can strive to do it every day.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)

Share God's joy and love by serving others in your home and church community. Discover your God-given gifts to learn how God has uniquely wired you to serve others.
"For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:13-14)

God invites us to spend time with Him daily. We can do this through prayer, worship, reflection, and reading the Bible.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

God has called us to live generously. We can do this by sharing our time, talents, and finances.
"I pray that you will put into action the generosity of your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. (Philemon 1:6)

God created us to have relationships with others by joining a small group, serving, making disciples, and doing life together. "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Goodlettsville Church is a Christ-centered congregation with a rich 180-year legacy of ministry and gospel witness. In fact, the city of Goodlettsville itself was named after our church’s first pastor—a reflection of our deep historical roots and longstanding presence in the community.
We are part of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a denomination shaped by the spiritual fervor of the Second Great Awakening and grounded in biblically rooted, Reformed theology. We are committed to the authority of Scripture, the proclamation of the gospel, and the call to make disciples. While warmly welcoming all who seek to follow Christ, we remain firmly committed to a theologically conservative foundation.
Our church family is beautifully intergenerational, with people of all ages worshiping, learning, serving, and growing together. Our worship blends the richness of traditional hymns with thoughtfully incorporated modern elements, led by gifted musicians and worship leaders. We strive to be “the friendliest church in town,” cultivating a culture of warmth, hospitality, and authentic care for both our congregation and the wider community.
Our campus is well-equipped for ministry and fellowship, featuring two sanctuaries, educational classrooms, youth and children’s ministry spaces, and an activity center complete with a commercial kitchen. In addition, the church owns several rental properties adjacent to the campus that help strengthen and support the church’s financial health. We are blessed with wise and capable leadership that values faithful stewardship and long-term ministry sustainability.
In 2018, Goodlettsville Church launched a second campus in nearby Gallatin, which became an independent church in 2023. That multiplication effort sent approximately one-third of our congregation to help establish and strengthen the new work. Today, with an average worship attendance of around 160, we continue moving forward with faith, unity, and a strong sense of purpose.
We are currently in a season of transition following the February 2025 retirement of our Senior Pastor after 14 years of faithful ministry. As we seek God’s direction for the future, we are prayerfully searching for a shepherd who is grounded in Scripture, passionate about discipleship and outreach, and ready to lead with humility, wisdom, conviction, and vision.

The senior pastor faithfully delivers sermons and Bible teachings rooted in Scripture, helping the congregation understand, apply, and live out God's truth.
He provides spiritual guidance, counseling, prayer, and personal support, nurturing believers through life's challenges and encouraging their growth in Christ.
He identifies, mentors, and empowers leaders within the church, ensuring that ministry teams are biblically trained and equipped for service.
The senior pastor prayerfully casts vision, defines mission priorities, and steers the church toward fulfilling its biblical calling to make disciples.
The pastor oversees organizational operations — from finances to staffing — ensuring the church functions with integrity, efficiency, and faithfulness to its mission.
He leads the church in outreach efforts, modeling evangelism and building bridges to the surrounding community to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The senior pastor protects the church from false teaching, upholds sound doctrine, and fosters unity among believers under the authority of God’s Word.

The successful candidate will be a man who loves Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, shepherds his family faithfully, and models a life of personal holiness and integrity. He will exhibit spiritual maturity through consistent devotion to prayer, Scripture, and servant leadership. As the primary leader, he will lead the church with humility and collaboration, respecting the authority structures established by the elder board or church leadership. He will possess a passionate vision to see the church grow spiritually and numerically, actively engaging the local community with the life-transforming message of the Gospel.

A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree or equivalent theological training from an accredited seminary or institution, providing a strong biblical, theological, and pastoral foundation for vocational ministry and church leadership.
Additional pastoral ministry experience is strongly preferred to complement academic preparation, particularly in the areas of preaching, discipleship, shepherding, leadership development, and organizational oversight.
