Reach others for Christ
God created us for the purpose of relationship. We are committed to helping people connect with God and others through the Christ-centered community of the Church.
Love God, Love People
Our purpose is love, and we are committed to showing the love of Christ to the people of Rivers Edge Church and the community of Iowa Falls.
Following Jesus is an ongoing commitment. From declaring our trust in Him and getting baptized to sharing our faith and discipling others, we can strive to do it every day.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
Share God's joy and love by serving others in your home and church community. Discover your God-given gifts to learn how God has uniquely wired you to serve others.
"For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:13-14)
God invites us to spend time with Him daily. We can do this through prayer, worship, reflection, and reading the Bible.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
God has called us to live generously. We can do this by sharing our time, talents, and finances.
"I pray that you will put into action the generosity of your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. (Philemon 1:6)
God created us to have relationships with others by joining a small group, serving, making disciples, and doing life together. "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
The River's Edge Church was planted in Iowa Falls in November 2005. While there was no single-parent church, a combination of six churches in the Baptist General Conference lent much time, finances, prayer and leadership to the young church. The planting team and original pastor had a heart to reach the lost in Iowa Falls and were more than willing to allow God to lead them to ideas that, at the time, seemed out of the box. After holding services in Hamilton Auditorium on the campus of Ellsworth Community College for three years, The River's Edge bought its first permanent location in 2008, which is still being used today. Over the past 18+ years, the church has steadily grown and matured, added another building, and witnessed many wonderful people give their lives to Christ. Today, the church is still as committed as ever to reaching the lost, making disciples, and growing together each day as the Lord leads.
