To make disciples by reaching the lost with the Gospel, equipping believers through faithful biblical teaching, and exalting God through heartfelt worship and bold proclamation in the life of the church.

We believe the Bible is true, trustworthy, and our final authority. It shapes what we believe, how we live, and how we lead. We don’t adjust God’s Word to fit culture — we adjust our lives to fit God’s Word.

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. The gospel isn’t just how we begin the Christian life — it’s how we grow. We never move past it. We build everything on Christ and His finished work.

We are committed to helping people grow into mature followers of Jesus. That means learning Scripture, building strong relationships, developing spiritual habits, and serving others. We don’t want spectators — we want disciples.

Church is more than a service; it’s a family. We care for one another, speak truth with love, and walk through life together. We believe real growth happens in real relationships.

Everything we do is about God’s glory. When we gather, we sing truth, pray boldly, and preach clearly. When we leave, we live out our faith at home, at work, and in our city.If you’d like, I can also tighten these even further into short one-sentence value statements for signage or a membership card.
Founded in 1957, Northwest Church has been faithfully serving the Fresno community for more than seven decades. What began as a small gathering of believers with a desire to teach God’s Word has grown into a thriving, multigenerational church committed to biblical truth and gospel impact.
Our campus, located in northwest Fresno, includes a spacious worship center, classrooms for all ages, and flexible gathering spaces that allow for discipleship, fellowship, and community outreach. Over the years, the facilities have been thoughtfully updated to support growing ministries while remaining a welcoming place for families and guests.
Northwest Church has been marked by strong pastoral leadership and a congregation that values stability, unity, and biblical conviction. Under consistent leadership, the church has expanded its local outreach, media ministry, and global missions impact.
Today, thousands of people gather each week for worship — in person and online — united by a shared desire to glorify God, grow in Christ, and reach the Central Valley with the unchanging message of the gospel. We are a church family committed to raising up the next generation and standing firmly on God’s Word for years to come.

Design and oversee the entire guest experience.
From the parking lot to the pulpit, this pastor ensures every first-time guest feels seen, welcomed, and clearly guided. This includes training greeters, ushers, connection teams, and creating systems that remove confusion and friction from a guest’s first visit.
Responsible for guest follow-up within 24–72 hours, connection calls, emails, and pathway invitations. Develops repeatable systems so no one falls through the cracks and every guest receives a clear invitation toward deeper involvement.
Create a clear, simple discipleship pathway.
Designs and oversees the church’s movement process — from first visit to membership, small groups, serving teams, and leadership development. Ensures the “front door” naturally leads to deeper commitment and spiritual growth.
Move attenders into covenant community.
Leads membership classes, interviews prospective members, and helps people understand the church’s doctrine, values, and expectations. Ensures new members are relationally and spiritually connected, not just enrolled.
Help people discover and use their gifts.
Works closely with ministry leaders to identify needs and match people with serving opportunities. Oversees onboarding, background checks where needed, and creates a culture where serving is normal, joyful, and sustainable.
Track movement, not just attendance.
Maintains accurate records of guests, members, baptisms, group involvement, and serving engagement. Regularly evaluates where people stall in the process and recommends improvements to leadership.
Champion warmth, unity, and ownership.
Models hospitality, spiritual maturity, and relational warmth. Reinforces a culture where members see themselves as ministers, not spectators. Protects the church from cliques and ensures new people are continually welcomed into authentic community.

The successful candidate will be a man who loves Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, shepherds his family faithfully, and models personal holiness and integrity. He demonstrates spiritual maturity through consistent prayer, deep engagement with Scripture, and a humble, servant-hearted leadership style.
As Assimilation Pastor, he will lead with collaboration and relational warmth, working closely with the senior pastor, staff, and elders to ensure alignment with the church’s vision and authority structures. He will have a passion for people — especially guests, new believers, and those on the margins — and a burden to see them fully integrated into the life of the church.
He will possess a clear vision for helping people move from first visit to fully engaged disciple. With intentional systems and personal shepherding, he will cultivate a culture where no one slips through the cracks and where spiritual and numerical growth happen naturally as people are welcomed, connected, discipled, and deployed.
Above all, he will be driven by a desire to see lives transformed through the gospel and rooted deeply in Christ and His church.
