OUR HISTORY
Lighthouse Baptist Church is a thriving, independent Baptist congregation devoted to shining the light of Christ throughout the greater St. Louis region and beyond.
Lighthouse Baptist is led by Senior Pastor Daniel Duke and his wife, Laura Duke, who serves as the church’s Children’s Ministry Director. Before coming to St. Ann, the Dukes served faithfully as missionaries in Peru for 15 years, where God gave them a deep love for cross-cultural ministry and the vision to plant a bilingual church—one family united under one Savior, worshiping in two languages.
That vision became reality at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Today, the church offers two vibrant services each Sunday—one in English and one in Spanish—both given equal attention, excellence, and passion. These gatherings reflect the heart of the Dukes’ mission: to reach a diverse community with the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
With an average Sunday attendance of about 500 people, Lighthouse is a growing, multigenerational congregationmarked by joyful worship, biblical preaching, and deep community. The church family is warm, welcoming, and eager to see lives transformed by Christ. Ministries for children, students, and adults all share the same heartbeat—to help people know Jesus, grow in His Word, and live out the gospel daily.
Lighthouse Baptist Church remains firmly committed to the authority of Scripture, expository preaching, and intentional disciple-making. Every ministry is designed to point people toward Christ and equip them to serve others in love.

As the primary leader, he will lead the church with humility and collaboration, respecting the authority structures established by the elder board or church leadership. Educational Background
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Worship Leadership, Church Music, or a related ministry field is preferred, providing a solid foundation in theology, musical excellence, and team leadership within the local church.
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Education, or Communications, coupled with significant ministry experience, demonstrating the creative and organizational skills needed to lead and manage a growing worship ministry effectively.
- Additional training in theology, pastoral ministry, or cross-cultural leadership is strongly encouraged, especially given Lighthouse’s bilingual context and emphasis on unified worship across English and Spanish congregations.
- Practical ministry experience—whether through church staff service, internships, or worship leadership in a medium-to-large congregation—is highly valued to complement academic preparation.
